In Search of the Northern Lights

Few natural wonders are as captivating – or as elusive – as the Northern Lights, their ribbons of colour dancing and glowing across the dark sky. In March, longer nights and often clearer skies can create excellent conditions for aurora sightings, while lighter days allow more time for unforgettable adventures ashore. Cross the Arctic Circle and settle on deck, wrapped in a blanket with a hot chocolate warming your hands, before stepping ashore for experiences such as husky sledding across snow-dusted landscapes or tobogganing over crisp, white slopes. You might also choose to ride Narvik’s cable car for sweeping views of fjords and peaks, and watch reindeer moving gracefully through the snowy wilderness.
